Taboe Kwadraat, NL

Taboe Kwadraat is specialized in research, training and advice on domestic violence in LGBT relationships. Susanne Kers, who runs this organization, is considered to be the national expert in this subject. For training and advice Taboe² works with various target groups:

• Workers in the field of mainstream domestic violence. These might be social workers, counseling services, women’s shelters, police, justice department, etc. Taboe² can train them in the specific aspects of LGBT domestic violence
• Policy makers in city councils and organizations. Taboe² can advise them on how to make their domestic violence plans LGBT inclusive, and provide the training necessary on sensitizing organizations and workers towards the needs and position of LGBT people
• LGBT organizations: Taboe² gives presentations on information evenings on domestic violence
