The Lesbian Counselling Centre Berlin was found in 1983 and has been growing over the years to a team of 16 employees and a multiplicity of volunteers. We are working in an intercultural team, so that we can meet the various needs and interests of our clients from different perspectives. Beside counselling and single- or couple-therapy we are offering presentations and actions for sustain and crosslink of lesbian/bisexual women, migrants, people of colour and trans*people. We are working on to fight racism, obstacles of challenged persons, homophobia as well as transphobia. A further focus lies in the domain of domestic violence in women-to-women/trans* relationships. We accomplish awareness training and offer support respectively therapy for women/trans* people who faced violence in their partnership(s). Furthermore we already contributed to other European projects within the Daphne programme.
